Chito Bikri ("we", "us", "our") runs the Chito Bikri website and mobile app — a local marketplace for buying and selling across Nepal. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

We collect information you provide and data generated when you use the service.

Account details: mobile phone number, full name, optional email address, profile photo, and bio.
Listings and activity: items you post, photos, prices, locations, comments, messages, reviews, sale records, and related marketplace activity.
Contact actions: when you tap Call on a listing, we record that event (listing, seller, caller if signed in, and time) so sellers can understand interest in their items.
Device and notifications: push notification tokens (FCM/APNs) and platform type so we can send alerts about messages, comments, sales, and reviews.
Sign-in providers: if you use Google or Apple Sign In, we receive identity tokens from those providers to verify your account and link it to Chito Bikri.
Usage data: basic technical data such as listing views and app requests needed to operate and secure the service.

Publish listings, enable messaging, and connect buyers and sellers
Send notifications you have allowed
Improve reliability, prevent abuse, and enforce our rules
Respond to support requests and legal obligations

What other people can see

Chito Bikri is a marketplace. When you post a listing, your name, profile photo, and listing details are visible to other users. When you message or comment, the other party can see that content. Seller phone numbers may be shown on listing detail pages so buyers can call.

Sharing with third parties

We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with:

Service providers that host our infrastructure, deliver push notifications (Firebase/Google), or provide sign-in (Google, Apple)
Other users as part of normal marketplace use (listings, messages, reviews)
Authorities when required by applicable law or to protect safety and rights

Your choices

Update your profile name, email, photo, and bio in the app or on the website
Turn off push notifications in your device settings
Delete your account at any time from Delete account (sign-in required) or Profile → Delete account in the iOS/Android app
Browse listings without signing in; sign in when you want to message, sell, or save activity

Account deletion

When you delete your account, we remove your profile and associated content such as listings, messages, and reviews linked to your account. Some records may be kept where required by law or for legitimate security purposes.

Data retention

We keep information while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward where needed for backups, fraud prevention, or legal compliance.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect data in transit and at rest. No online service can guarantee absolute security.

Children

Chito Bikri is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

International users

Chito Bikri is operated for users in Nepal. If you access the service from elsewhere, your information may be processed on servers outside your country.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
